THE NON-CONFORMIST

The Non-conformist!

Caprisoned my mind might seem
Though my thoughts clearly I see
I hold them to be so sacrosanct
Would not let myself be illusioned

You ask me, I state explicitly
I’ve got my point, can’t dilly-dally
The hardest is to believe
What I know to be utterly false

Though the fear of showing brutal indifference
To matters that a million show fearful deference
Could keep me hiding my self-loved ideas
But I’ve gotten hold of my opinions, that’s all

A great non-conformist is needed in this generation
Whose passionate intellect is incomparably an innovative reformation
A bite of courage and munch of perseverance is all
My soul’s stomach desires for a trigger

WORLD EARTH DAY

A MUST READ FOR TODAY!!!

EARTH’S LANGUAGE

Today is World Earth Day
In April, on the twenty-second day
Will tell you little about Earth on this day
You, an earthling will understand; it’s your day

Earth, the only planet that supports life
Earth, the only planet in which everything is alive
Earth, the only planet in which all organisms strive
Strive with all life to be alive in the midst of rife strife

Though many a race; different nationalities, tribes and ethnicities; we speak a common language -love
Love, the peace of our living on earth, resting on our souls like the Jordanian dove
We might disagree to agree at times, but at all times we unlove to love
This shoven enmity, learned segregation, impure distinction that reign now will die off; differences be settled, the peace of our living be more prominent, and a language be reverberated loudly – love

We should love our domain, this pleasant abode, this incomparable habitable zone
That amongst three to the power of three planets habits us alone
Where Soil, Air and Heat coexist to produce a sustainable agricultural environment where plants are intersown
Therefrom our food, as well as our animal feed, is gotten to keep life being grown

Though cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes, floods, wildfires, drought and famine abound
Though Earth’s foundations be shaken, oceans and seas overflow, flowing waters abated and life become unsound
Though linger political unrests, tarry civil distress, religious tyranny progress, and in a large mass trepidation found
Though all these happen; in the face of these a stronger people we become, more bonded and jointed, and with unity we rebound

Do not let complexion difference, accent difference, cultural difference and distance difference cause a hate within and without us
In love, the music we all understand, all these are inexistent, that they might cause no discord in our primeval discourse
Let us sing and play this music of love to the stars of the sky, the worms of the soil, the birds of the sky and plants of the soil; let love be all that we discuss
In these trying times, we all should hold hands together, break all barriers of togetherness, live and let live, thusly, love and let love lead thus.

SHADOW

Behind a man, always is his shadow
Walketh he, walketh the shadow too
Stood he, stood the shadow too
Seated he, seated the shadow too
Doth a man a thing, doth his shadow too
But only doeth this duet in the light

In the dark, a shadow is no more
In the dark, the shadow disappears
What has the shadow with light and not with darkness?
The shadow appears in the light because light is true
The shadow is a reflection, then, of man’s truthfulness
The shadow, though silent all the time, reveals a man

In the light is the other man unveiled
The other self of man surfaces at a time
But only in the light
Thus, man’s shadow concurs not with darkness
Thus, ’tis opposed to the dark
A friend of light is the shadow; truth attract each other

If shadows are seen only where light is
Then, as light is true and dwells not in any hidy-hole
A shadow is, too.

A MOMENT WITHOUT YOU

I was filled with a stream of emotions at the moment. Wanted to write more, but only these few WORDS came forth.

A MOMENT WITHOUT YOU

A moment without you is like a wasted eternity
I don’t know what an eternity without you would feel like
A minute without you is like a fate without certainty
I don’t know what a fate without you would feel like

An hour without you, I cannot imagine – ’tis unimaginable
A day without you, I cannot conceive – ’tis inconceivable
Without you a month would be incomprehensible
Without you a year would just be impossible

Time without you is no time at all !

Oh Mother!

It is no day job to be a Mother
A lifetime job like no other

In ordering my footsteps since the onset
Oh, mother, you left no stone unset

In mothering me and yours, sweat you’ve expended
I’m praying that for this, God has your life extended

It’s no day job to be a Mother
It is no day job to Mother

I appreciate you, my mother
From my heart’s depth, you’re like no other

Oh Poetry!

Where are the words that thrilled my reader?
What took away my laconic, scintillating words?
Why doesn’t my pen bleed red anymore?
Thy emotions that flowed purely, unhesitatingly; where are thee?

Poetry, when you drew me to yourself, I didn’t resist
Your art submerged me into beautifulness
Through you, all things, I perceived graciously
So, I learnt you every day, so faithfully

The words you poured into my heart never existed
I would use them to write symphonic eulogies
Eulogies of thy great graciousness
Eulogies of my eternal romance with thee

Sometimes I struggled to stop struggling in your entanglement… I’ll write you an Acrostic

✓Possessing me in pieces, halves, whole; in toto
✓Often eluding me yet returning magnificently
✓Evaporating your sweet relief to my troubled self
✓Thrilling me whenever life made me frown
✓Rest assuring me always of serendipity
✓You of all arts do these to me

But…

Why don’t I feel your magnificent return after the last time you eluded me?
What happened to our ever-promising romance?
Where are thee oh you art of sublime temperament?
Inducing this temperament in thy reader’s and lover’s hearts

Come back to my heart!
Return magnificently to me oh art of arts!
And let my soul once more be glad!

IN THE DARK

When all the bulbs go off

And the whole room becomes dark

But for the littlest light

Lit before the bulbs glowed

A flicker of light is the tongue

That sits unsteadily on the candle

Of all, the candle light is left alone

Alone to shine in this mundanity of darkness

What if this light brightness is blown out ?

In this darkness is fear found

Imagined terror and horror

Death is smelt most in darkness
Its lurkings are covered by the darkness
The most painful emotions are let out in the dark
Heart troublings are let to flow in the dark
Bittersweet tears abound in the dark
Yellings of agony echo in the dark

Darkness coexists not with light

As all things felt in the dark are troubling

So does joyfulness emerge when there’s light
